Road Safety Education and Awareness Programme Conducted at RITE College, Khordha
As part of the ongoing “Operation Jeevan Raksha”Road Safety Education and Awareness initiatives, a Road Safety Education and Awareness Programme – 2026 was successfully conducted on 08.01.2026 at the RITE College Campus, Khordha.
A total of 110 students from RITE College and JRG (Jagat Ram Gupta) Pharmacy College participated in the programme. The event was held in the presence of Sri Subash Ranjan Kabat, Principal, RITE College, Khordha, who encouraged students to adopt responsible road behaviour.
Sri Jugal Kumar Mallik, OPS-I, Additional Superintendent of Police, Khordha-cum-Nodal Officer, Road Safety Cell, Khordha, addressed the students and educated them on crucial aspects of road safety, traffic rules, safe driving practices, and the importance of responsible conduct while using public roads.
Sri Umesh Chandra Nayak, Inspector-in-Charge, IE Police Station, along with police station staff, actively participated in the programme and sensitised students on road safety norms and accident prevention measures.
The programme aimed to create awareness among young road users and instil a sense of discipline, responsibility, and safety consciousness, contributing towards the broader goal of reducing road accidents and saving lives.
