Sri Fanindra Kumar Sahu, Former Managing Director of Jamankira Large-sized Agricultural Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (LAMPCS) Ltd., Sambalpur was arrested today by Odisha Vigilance.

The arrest follows an investigation into the financial discrepancies of the 2021-22 fiscal year, where a total of Rs.79,28,000 (approx.) was allegedly misappropriated by Sri Sahu. Sri Sahu allegedly collected loan repayment amounts directly from local farmers but intentionally omitted these entries from the Day Book (the primary accounting record). To hide the missing funds, he reportedly submitted false repayment vouchers to the SDCC Bank (Sambalpur District Cooperative Central Bank), Jamankira Branch. These documents were bolstered by fake seals to mimic official bank verification.
In this connection, Odisha Vigilance has registered case vide Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.29/2025 U/s 13(2) r/w 13 (1)(a) PC (Amendment) Act, 2018/ 468/471/477-A/409 IPC against the accused Sri Sahu. Today, Sri Fanindra Kumar Sahu, Former MD, Jamankira LAMPCS Ltd., Sambalpur is being forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
